CENTRE OF THE DEAF TEACHING ASSISTANT

Salary:                         £19,600 - £21,048 [Scale 5 Point 11 – 15]

Contract type:             Full-Time / Term Time

Contract term:             Permanent

The School is seeking to appoint, as soon as possible, an enthusiastic Centre of the Deaf Teaching Assistant to compliment the work currently being done by the Centre. The skills required for the role include excellent communication and organisation, as well as being able to support in mainstream classes in a calm and professional manner. The right person will be accountable to the Head of the Centre of the Deaf.

Scale 5 posts involve a higher level knowledge across a range of SEN. There would be a greater contribution to the planning and assessment of learning needs and a more proactive involvement in the provision of support.
