Thank you to the universities, colleges and companies who made this such a successful event
Heston's Aspiring Futures Evening saw over thirty universities, colleges and companies offering advice to students from Years 9 to 13 and their parents.
Students and parents had the opportunity to learn more about university and college courses, apprenticeships and the opportunities that exist in a range of local and national businesses.
A series of talks were also given including King's College explaining the range of medicine options as well as outlining the admissions process and what students could do now to improve their chances of being offered a place at university. St Mary's University also talked about going to university and the UCAS process for any subject.
Students and parents took full advantage of the opportunity to quiz our guests - as one parent said: "It is so helpful to be able to see so many different universities under one roof."
Among the university representatives was Samina Anand who left Heston last year to study History at Brunel University and returned as a student ambassador to talk about her experience of university life.
