The ‘Word of the Week’ for the week commencing 9^th May is: Perspective.

The ‘Word of the Week’ will be displayed in classrooms and around the school and will be used throughout lessons in order to ensure students are developing their vocabulary. Literacy achievement points can now be awarded to students for the correct usage of these words in all lessons.

Perspective:

1. A point of view; a way of thinking about something.

What is your perspective on the EU referendum?

From my perspective, I would give myself an ‘A’ for my attitude to learning today.

Synonyms: outlook, approach, standpoint.

2. The appearance of things relative to one another as determined by their distance from the viewer.

The architect’s perspective of the house was clearer than mine.

Synonyms: view, vista, aspect.
