Super Learning Days

London Zoo, Spanish pantomime, Product design and Careers advice were all part of SLD
Super Learning Days on the last two days of Spring Term saw students participate in a wide range of activities that were designed to improve specific skills or to provide particular support in specific subjects.
Year 7 visited London Zoo and encountered animals of a different sort as part of their Puzzle Challenge the following day. They had to work on a variety of tasks in teams ... one of which was to ensure the penguins (right) stayed on their iceberg.
Year 8 had four different activities: An Enterprise workshop where they had to create an exciting new sandwich and the associated packaging, computer programming, performing plays in German, French and Spanish and team building physical challenges in the gym.
Year 9 had a day of "Improving Learning Performance" and a day when they raised money for cancer charities in a sponsored walk around Osterley Park.
Year 10 also had an "Improving Learning Performance" session as well as a series of talks on Careers Skills from visiting companies (left).
Year 11 had English, Maths and Art sessions and the Sixth Form took part in an Academic Skills Carousel.
