Using the new microscopes was truly an enriching experience, allowing us to view several samples ranging from plant roots, bird feathers and sand granules. We could see up to x1000 magnification.

It was so fascinating viewing these under the microscope, so we can get a sense of their physical structure. We also carried out a Biology A-Level Required Practical, which resulted in great success, as we saw cells undergoing  prophase and metaphase which helped build my understanding of mitosis. The hands-on experience really allowed us to improve our scientific knowledge, preparing us for university should we choose to take sciences. I look forward to using these amazing microscopes in the future!
