Music at Heston

I am so excited to be having Music lessons at Heston. When I walk in the music room, I feel a wave of excitement wash over me, with dulcet tones already trickling through my ears and I love the array of instruments and equipment. I believe the Music department really allows students to be free with all the instruments; letting us explore and venture into the study of music and playing.  The Head of Music, Mr Loseto, is fun, knowledgeable and really friendly and the Music Assistant, Miss Tully, is equally supportive and composed (no pun intended!)

During class lessons, we focus on the basics of music theory and play instruments such as the Djembe. The School now also offers one-to-one music lessons, during school hours, to help students develop their full musical potential. I participate in piano sessions and despite only having three lessons so far, I have already learnt so much. Other students are in the School Choir and we are busily preparing for our Winter Concert. I really appreciate all the hard work and effort that is being put into this fantastic department.
