Heston Science Fair 2019

Year 7 Students competed in the annual Heston Science Fair on 15th July.

Students impressed with eloquent presentations and their detailed research into intriguing questions such as “Why does your voice go higher if you breathe Helium?”, “What is an Oobleck?” and “Why can’t you tickle yourself?”. Sara Daci and Arya Balggan gave a brilliant comparison of the anatomy of tigers and humans to earn second place. With a high-level scientific explanation of how batteries work, including a homemade model of a car battery made from vinegar and zinc nails, first place went to Dawood Boliya. Congratulations to all students that took part.
