Y9 Visit to KPMG and Clifford Chance

Talent Foundry is one of the UK's most successful social mobility charities. They help to give young people access to the experiences and confidence to succeed in school and beyond. We were very lucky to have our year 9 students visit Clifford Chance and KPMG in London. Our students were mentored by a range of professionals from both firms and this will no doubt help our students to broaden their horizons when they are considering future careers. They were suitably impressed by our students.
Kelsey from Talent Foundry said, 'We had the loveliest day yesterday with your students. Thank you for making the trip! We really enjoyed how engaged and enthusiastic the students were throughout the day – they were a real credit to you.'
My school trip to Canary Wharf

Recently I went on a school trip to Canary Wharf where we visited KPMG and Clifford Chance. It was a fascinating day because we learnt about different jobs and got to see what it is like to work in big companies.
We were lucky to talk to many people from both Clifford Chance and KPMG. They told us about their jobs and how they got into their careers. We were able to ask questions and learn about what they do every day. This helped me understand more about the different career options that are available in the future.
We also got a tour of the law firm. The office was very modern and much bigger than I expected. We got to see the Clifford Chance gym and the bar. At the end of the visit, we were given some pens and notebooks, which were nice and a good reminder of the trip.

After that, we took part in activities with KPMG. The main activity was a team-building challenge where we had to design a hospital using AI. We worked in groups and shared ideas to create the best design possible. We had to think about how AI could help patients and improve healthcare. It was cool because everyone had different ideas, and we had to work together to complete the task.
Overall, I really enjoyed the trip to Canary Wharf. It was both fun and educational. I learnt more about careers in law and business and got to hear from people who work in those industries. The tour and activities made the day enjoyable and helped me learn new skills. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to take part in this trip and I would like to do something similar again in the future.
