TEACHER OF COMPUTER SCIENCE

We are looking to appoint a positive, dynamic, enthusiastic and well qualified, teacher to join a highly successful Business, Economics and Computer Science [BECS] Team. The successful candidate will be forward thinking, emotionally intelligent, innovative and must be able to teach Computer Science at Key Stage 5. The BECS Team is well resourced and enjoys excellent facilities.
Heston Community School is a successful, vibrant, happy and oversubscribed school where ‘pupils have high aspirations and want to succeed in education. Leaders have established the right school climate for them to do so. Pupils achieve very well in a wide range of subjects in the main school and sixth form’ [OFSTED December 2022]. ACHIEVEMENT MENTOR
Salary: £16 per hour
Contract Term: One or two days per week 08:30-15:30
Start Date: 01 December 2025
The School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic individual that can inspire and support underachieving Year 11 students to effectively revise and raise their attainment. Achievement Mentors should have the passion, patience and empathy to support children in their learning.
The successful candidate will have a history of academic excellence and the ability to discuss and share the strategies behind their success. You will have strong GCSE Grades in English, Maths and Science [Grade 7+] and have achieved at least B Grades in all three A-Levels.
The successful candidate will receive training on safeguarding, communicating with parents and how to support students.
Closing Date: Friday 07 November 2025
Interview Date: Interviews will take place w/c 10 November
