Due to the promotion of our current post holder, the School now seeks to appoint an exceptional scientist, teacher and leader to the post of Curriculum Leader of Science. Working with the Senior Leadership Team, the successful applicant will shape the strategic direction of the Science curriculum to ensure excellent outcomes and co-curricular provision.

The School welcomes applicants from any science-based specialism. The successful candidate will lead an established team, contributing fully to maintaining excellence by inspiring and motivating both staff and students.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • The confidence and ability to teach Biology, Chemistry or Physics at all levels

The successful candidate will be committed to the development of creative and engaging teaching and learning which will instil in students a passion for learning and change their lives through learning in Design Technology. The Technology and Art Curriculum Area is well resourced and enjoys excellent facilities. Currently, Art and Technology is taught in eight specialist rooms and workshops supported by two full time Technicians.

The ability and or enthusiasm to teach Year 7 Art would be an advantage, as is a willingness to contribute actively to the thriving extra-curricular programme and wider school initiatives. Applications from experienced or Newly Qualified Teachers are welcome.
