Community Action

Charity walks, mufti days, cake sales and sponsored activities  are regular events at Heston Community School and a significant amount of money is raised for local as well as national worthy causes.

More practical help is also provided by students with their collection of clothes and food for the homeless or in the form of visiting local centres for the elderly or disadvantaged.

Recent activities have included:

  • A donation of over £3,500 to Chase Shooting Star Children’s Hospice raised primarily through a sponsored walk through Richmond Park by 180 students.
  • Food and clothes supplied to The Upper Room, a West London carity dedicated to the vulnerable and homeless.
  • £1,200 donated to Children in Need raised from a mufti day, book and bookmark sales and cake sales
  • Car Washing to raise money for Cancer Research
