A LEVEL CHEMISTRY
Chemistry is a challenging yet rewarding subject at A Level that will open a wide range of options for progression to degrees. Students will build on GCSE level ideas about structure, bonding and material properties and enhance their understanding of physical, organic and inorganic Chemistry. Chemistry is about all matter and the chemical reactions that take place between atoms; whether it is about the 34 elements that make up a human body, synthesising a new medicine or discovering nanoparticles.
Chemistry is taught through problem-solving activities that develop evaluative and analytical skills and there is extensive development of practical investigative skills.
