Career Academy students as well Sixth Form students studying Business, Economics and ICT benefited from talks on specific areas of business - Marketing and IT, particularly the role of a Systems Analyst.

Jim McLaughlin (above right) who is Managing Director of Axiall, a Marketing Consultancy, spoke about the work his company is involved in with a wide range of clients which included market research, lead generation and marketing communications including websites and social media.

Kuldip Sidhu (above left) runs his own IT consultancy and talked about just what a Systems Analyst does as well as outlining other career paths in the IT sector. Kuldip is also Chair of Governors at Heston Community School.

The talks were appreciated by the students and were two in a series that will cover all key business areas.
