JACK PETCHEY AWARDS 2019

The annual award ceremony for the Hounslow Jack Petchey Award Winners took place on the evening of Thursday, 13 June. As always, it was a glittering and joyous event, compèred this year by Ria Hebden.  Students proudly received their medals from the Deputy Mayor, Councillor Raghwinder Siddhu, whilst being loudly cheered on by their guests.

These awards are presented to students who have triumphed over difficulties or who have made a significant contribution to the School community.  This year  some of our students were recognised for their kindness and thoughtful behaviour towards peers including: ‘being the personification of helpfulness’ and ‘demonstrating kindness and care for others’, whilst others received the award for their contribution to the wider community by ‘actively engaging in a range of School projects’ and ‘exemplifying the values we teach at School’. Mr McGarrell received a Leaders Award for his hard work and dedication to Basketball.

The School is exceptionally proud to have been awarded the prestigious Jack Petchey Plaque, for the running of the Award Scheme. This is an exceptional honour which is awarded sparingly – to only three schools in the country in the past year. The plaque is on display in Reception.
