Top of the Bench!

“On Tuesday 13th November, myself, a Year 11 student, one Year 10 and two Year 9 students, took part in the Top of the Bench competition, run by the Royal Society of Chemistry. The event was composed of a series of rounds, in which we were asked to work in our school teams to answer Chemistry questions. Topics ranged from our school curriculum to general knowledge, and encouraged us to work together to collate and confirm our knowledge. It was an extremely enriching experience and I have learnt a lot from the evening. Considering we were the only non-selective state school out of 15 teams, I am immensely proud of our group, leading for a portion of the competition and finishing in a respectable 4th place. It was truly an amazing opportunity to be a part of.” Jasleen Nagi
