To celebrate ‘Roald Dahl Week’ in September, Ms Dinkha organised a range of exciting activities for Year 7 students. These included reading lessons centring around an especially decorated trolley loaded with Roald Dahl’s books, examining Dahl’s hilarious descriptions of his best-loved and most-feared characters and a special quiz. Students were also given the opportunity during English lessons to gain a ‘Golden Ticket’ for exceptional behaviour and effort. All students awarded a ticket were entered into a prize raffle to win a range of Roald Dahl goodies – the grand prize was a collection of Roald Dahl’s novels.
