English AS students were given an exciting opportunity to take part in an inter-school conference to develop English Language and Literature skills. 

Mrs Hosseini, a member of the Heston English team, led a workshop on close reading skills and developing debate and persuasive language at the Hounslow Schools English Conference which was held at Gumley School. Mrs Hosseini led the afternoon workshop where a University Professor of English also presented a lecture on global literature.  

Heston students joined students from Lampton, Gumley and Isleworth and Syon Schools.  The students found it very beneficial to be able to meet and share ideas with other students from across Hounslow Borough.
