Uniform

Students in Years 7 to 11 are expected to wear our school uniform to and from school and during the day. Sixth Form students are required to dress in a smart, business-like manner.

Students are expected to wear school uniform on all school occasions – full details below:

Key Stage 3 & 4 (Years 7-11)

GIRLS:

  • Key Stage 3/4 School tie
  • Black School blazer with School Logo
  • Skirt (knee length): Plain black
  • Trousers (regular cut): Plain black, worsted material - No jeans or tight fitting trousers
  • Shirt (not a blouse): Plain white
  • Pullover: Plain, black V-necked with School Logo (Optional but not to be worn in place of a blazer)
  • Shoes (not trainers): Black, leather type uppers, low heels. No boots – no sandals – no open-toed shoes. No canvas and no plimsolls
  • Socks: Grey, white or black
  • Tights: Plain black or flesh coloured
  • Outdoor coats, hats and scarves: Plain, dark colour – no large logos
  • No caps or hoodies
  • Hijab: Plain black or white

BOYS:             

  • Key Stage 3/4 School tie
  • Black School blazer with the School Logo

PE Kit

Students will be required to wear the following PE Kit at school:

  • Black reversible rugby shirt with school logo
  • Plain white T-shirt with school logo
  • Plain black jogging bottom (school logo optional)
  • Plain black PE shorts (school logo optional)
  • Plain black football socks
  • Trainers
All Students
  • Jewellery: A wrist watch and single small stud earrings to be worn only in the earlobe (one in each ear) is all that is permitted. Small, religious emblems may be worn discreetly inside a student’s uniform but not during PE lessons. Nose studs are not permitted.
  • Hair: Coloured hair and high fashion/cult hair styles are not permitted. Shaved heads (Grade 2 or shorter) must not be brought to school by students. No tramlines in hair or eyebrows.
  • Mobile phones, personal stereos, radios, cameras, video games and MP3 players and similar are not allowed in school.  They may be confiscated and a parent will be required to collect them.
  • No Make-up or nail varnish.

Students are also expected to wear the uniform well.  For example: Shirts must be tucked in. Top buttons should be fastened and skirts should be worn at the appropriate length.

Students who fail to wear the uniform correctly or are missing items that are compulsory may receive a school detention.

Key Stage 5 (Years 12-13)
  • All Key Stage Five students must wear their ID badge at all time.
  • All Key Stage Five student must wear business dress.
  • No jeans, combats, trainers, shorts, leggings, skinny jeans, skirts above knee, hooded tops, boots etc.
  • Students will be sent home to change if their attire is not judged to be appropriate business dress.
