New Teaching and Learning Policy

Rationale

Learning at Heston Community School takes place both within timetabled lessons and through a wide range of extra-curricular activities, trips and enrichment opportunities.

All teachers are also learners and must strive to improve their practice through self reflection, peer support and Continuing Professional Development. This means understanding both the teaching and learning process and building on students’ skills, knowledge and understanding.

Our key Teaching and Learning Priority for 2011-2012 is for every teacher to be a goodteacher.
