This year, the money gained from the JP Leader Award was used by Sam Saib, Heston’s Learning Mentor, to take a group of students on an adventure to Go Ape in Berkshire.  The group of excited students, accompanied by Sam Saib and Ms Davis were joined by Mr Juriansz and Ms Thomas for a day of adventure that tested limits and courage and built strong friendships.  The image tell the story and the students speak for themselves below:

I really enjoyed the trip - not only did I have the best time but also faced one my biggest fears - heights. I was so happy that I did and I had a great time with everyone. I even spoke to girls I have not spoken to before. I’m glad that we went on such an amazing trip! Thank you!!’

‘Today was really, really fun and I enjoyed myself a lot!
I think the best part of today was I overcame my fear of heights, slightly just slightly!’

Simran Rawal

‘I just wanted to say thank you, for taking us on this awesome trip; it put me out of my comfort zone but I like a challenge. I made new friends and got to see another side of them I haven't seen before at school - it was a great bonding experience.’
