Children’s author Cathy Cassidy came to school to deliver an engaging talk to Year 7 and 8 girls on Thursday where she revealed her favourite subject was not English or Art – it was daydreaming! She even offered to share secret tips on how to daydream undetected at school to anyone who emailed her through her website www.cathycassidy.com

Cathy talked in detail about her newest book ‘Broken Hearts Club’ and read out an extract as well as hosting a mini ‘which character are you?’ quiz. Finally, Cathy answered a whole host of questions about her writing from how she first started to how much money she earned!

For the competition winners, Cathy ran a workshop in the LRC where the girls were able to work closely with Cathy on different story and character ideas.
