  • Year 9 - 12-hour STEM project

    Five year 9 students took part in a 12-hour STEM project to produce a model hydraulic arm. The students took this further by modifying their hydraulic arms with electromagnets to lift magnetic objects.

    To celebrate British Science Week 2017 the Heston Science Department put on a series of fun demonstrations on Wednesday 15th March. Students saw flaming rockets, set their teachers hands on fire and got vacuum packed.

  • Year 10 Students visit Royal Holloway University

    On 7th March 2017 a group of Year 10 students, accompanied by Mrs Virk, Mrs Sas and Miss Jonnais, visited Royal Holloway University.

  • Children’s author Cathy Cassidy came to school to deliver an engaging talk to Year 7 and 8 girls on Thursday where she revealed her favourite subject was not English or Art – it was daydreaming! She even offered to share secret tips on how to daydream undetected at school to anyone who emailed her through her website

  • On Tuesday 7th March, a group of Year 12 and 13 students attended The National Apprenticeship Show at Sandown Park, Surrey.
