Performing Arts The music department offers students the opportunity to study a wide variety of different musical genres which include popular music, rap and music from around the world. They also study music technology and song writing. Students are invited to take instrumental or voice lessons. There is also a wide variety of extra-curricular clubs for students to become involved in. Throughout the year there is a variety of opportunities for students to perform to an audience. These events include music recitals, Hestons got talent, the summer concert and the school show. Music is available as a course of study at year 10, 12 and 13. Through the GCSE and A level students are able to enhance performance, composing listening and appraisal skills. |
