Mathematics Welcome to the Exciting World of Mathematics The aims of the faculty are to help students:
The Maths' Faculty achieved a good ofsted report in 2003. The SATs results for Levels 5 - 8 were 82%, GCSE grades A* to C were 63% and A level grades A to C were 84% Mathematics is taught using the National Curriculum and consists of key stages 3, 4 and 5. Year 7, 8 and 9 will undertake Key Stage 3 of the National Curriculum and are required to work within 3-8 of the Attainment Targets. In years 12 and 13 students take a GCE Advanced Level/AS Mathematics Modular syllabus. The requirement within mathematics from G.C.S.E is a B grade.
