Heston and Eton - The ISSP Project Heston and Eton - The ISSP Project Heston Community School is incredibly proud to be a part of an exciting Independent/State School Partnership (ISSP). Our partnership is with Eton College and seven other state schools from the Slough, Eton and Windsor areas. We are the only London school within this elite partnership, of which we are very proud. The core values of the partnership are to share experience, expertise and resources between the various schools to raise standards and achievements for all the pupils within all of the schools involved. There are a number of projects currently underway which are having a significant impact on our pupils progress and wider enrichment. These include A* Masterclasses in English and Maths, developing pupils within the C/D borderline through PiXL, a Gospel Choir project, debating through the AFAN (All Faiths and None) project, Higher Education seminars and workshops and much more. We have also been able to place four sixth form pupils on the Eton College Summer School, an elite opportunity which greatly increases the chance of these pupils gaining places at the Oxbridge colleges. As these, and other, projects conclude pupils will be writing reviews and reflections which will be added to this page, alongside photos and videos. If you have any questions relating to these projects or the work of the ISSP please feel free to contact Mr Fletcher through the school's address. |
