ART, DESIGN AND MEDIA

Art, Design and Media cover a large range of experiences and qualifications. We run examination courses in fine Art, photography, graphic design, textiles and media, with vocational courses also covering these subjects. This range of subjects has given us the facility to choose teachers with different skills, including graphic designers, artists, filmmakers, photographers, textile designers and illustrators. The range of artistic experience therefore offered to students at Heston community school is vast, with the wealth of artistic and vocational background that is represented by our teaching staff. We aim to equip students with a first class art and design education that will take them forward into the world with confidence and definite skill enabling them to make artistic choices in their lives that are informed and expert. We give students the opportunity to progress to careers in art and design having a realistic idea of the world of the design.

We teach in a new set of specialist designed and equipped art workshops that enable us to deliver our specialist art, design and media teaching. This accommodation is unique in providing the perfect environment for a rounded creative education.
